Alert the media, Reddit is down. While it’s been a while since we’ve seen the last significant outage, the site has currently been down for about an hour now. I’m sure there are more than a few people at work panicking right now and wondering how to fill their time without their popular at-work distraction.

A new era of tech events has begun

We’re back in New York this November for the 4th edition of our growth-focused technology event.

According to @redditstatus, the site appears to be down after the site “had a slight issue with a routine software upgrade.” It seems they’re working out the kinks — while Redditors are working out theirs — and the site should be back soon.

Update: It’s back. That was a close call. I almost went outside.
