Created by The Touch, ‘HB’ rings use an app, Bluetooth and your phone’s mobile internet to help you feel more connected to your partner. Once connected, you’re able to feel your loved one’s heartbeat in real time through your ring. Your partner can feel yours as well.

While a nice thought that could provide some much-needed comfort for couples who spend a good amount of time without their partner, it’s definitely not without its downfalls. That said, an Apple Watch does the same thing and you might already have one. If not, it’s still a cheaper buy than a $599 ring.

Regardless of which way  you decide to monitor your partner’s heartbeat, this conclusively proves why we can’t have nice things.
