PC game distribution platform GOG announced today it was bringing back three Disney favorites in all their 16-bit glory — Aladdin, The Lion King and The Jungle Book.

All three were created between 1993 and 1994 and were considered fairly advanced for their respective console generation. With “groundbreaking” visuals and music from the films, these games were once amongst the cream of the crop for Sega and SNES.
The trio of nostalgic games will be available for download on a PC August 8 and should definitely reignite the decades-old debate as to which console was superior. In case you were wondering, Sega Genesis won by a wide margin in a 2012 Kotaku poll, although I had both and preferred the SNES.
Regardless, these 16-bit relics should provide a fair bit of old school fun on any PC and you can scoop them up individually, or in a bundle for 33 percent off.
